Benefits of Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture

Who would benefit from Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture?
Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture is suitable for everyone, and is tailored to meet each individual’s needs.
Different methods are emphasized and specific points stimulated according to the individual’s personal needs. Someone seeking help for excess puffiness, for example, would require a different approach to someone with dry skin. The treatment is holistic and the whole person’s needs are evaluated and treated.
What are the side effects?
This procedure does not require any type of anaesthetic, and does not involve the injection of any substances into the skin. However, minor bleeding and localised bruising may occasionally occur after the needles have been removed, but this will quickly resolve.
The procedure is administered by a qualified professional acupuncturist who has completed a minimum of four years full-time training in acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and who practises to the standards for hygiene and safety set by the British Acupuncture Council Code of Practice.
Contraindications
Unfortunately Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture is not advisable where there has been previous treatment with botox
It may also be contraindicated with certain underlying medical conditions.
Please contact the practitioner for further advice if you have any concerns about this.
What is the course of treatment?
A program of 10 to 15 treatments administered once a week. Each treatment lasts about 1 hour. The effects are cumulative and become longer-lasting, usually after the 7th session. The effects of the Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture program can be topped-up and made long-lasting with regular maintenance treatments once a month. A 15 minute consultation is required prior to treatment.
